Brief Explanation
Benefits: … These ahadith are indeed weak, but the ruling is as stated: if a war enemy accepts Islam before being captured, he will save his wealth. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar radi Allahu anhuma that the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: ((I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no deity except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establish the prayer (salah), and pay the alms (zakat). When they do that, they will have protected their blood and their wealth from me, except by the right of Islam, and their reckoning is with Allah.)) … I have been commanded to fight the people until they bear witness that Allah alone is the true deity and Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is the Messenger of Allah, establish the prayer (salah), and pay the alms (zakat). When they do so, they will have protected their blood and their wealth from me, except by the right of Islam, and their reckoning is with Allah. (Sahih Bukhari: 25, Sahih Muslim: 22)
