Hadith 5123

عَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ رَابِعٍ قَالَ أَعْتَقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الطَّائِفِ مَنْ خَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ عَبِيدِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
(4th chain) The narrator says: On the day of Ta’if, the slaves of the polytheists who came out and came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, he, peace and blessings be upon him, set them free.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … There are other ahadith as well, from which it is established that when the slave of a disbeliever becomes Muslim, he will become free. However, keep in mind that if the owner accepts Islam before his slave, and then the slave becomes Muslim, the slave will be returned to the owner, because the owner, by accepting Islam, has secured his property, and the slave is also his property.
