It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that when prisoners were brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would give prisoners who were relatives to the same household, disliking that they be separated from each other.
