Mawla Abi al-Lahm Sayyiduna Umair (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He says, I was present with my masters in the Battle of Khaybar. When they spoke to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about me, he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a ruling regarding me. I hung a sword with myself in such a way that it was dragging. When it was informed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that I was a slave, he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that a small amount of household goods from the spoils of war be given to me.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The khumus (one-fifth) of the spoils of war will be taken by the Imam, and the remaining four parts will be distributed among the warriors in such a way that a mounted warrior will be given a total of three shares, and a foot soldier will be given one share; that is, due to the horse, two additional shares will be given. However, before the distribution of these shares, participating slaves and women will be given a certain portion of the spoils of war as a gift and encouragement.
