Hadith 5042

عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزْوَةٍ قَالَ وَفِينَا مَمْلُوكَانِ فَلَا يُقْسَمُ لَهُمْ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadala bin Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We were with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a battle, among us were also slaves, they were not given anything from the spoils of war.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The correct view is that slaves do not have a fixed share in the spoils of war (mal-e-ghanīmah); the commander of the army will encourage them according to his own ijtihad (independent reasoning).
