It is narrated from Sayyiduna Majma’ bin Jariyah Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that Khaybar was distributed among the people of Hudaybiyyah; the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not include anyone else with them, only those who had participated at Hudaybiyyah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made eighteen shares of it. The army numbered fifteen hundred (1500), among whom there were three hundred horsemen. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave two shares to each horseman and one share to each foot soldier.
