It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma’qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) appointed Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Muqarrin (may Allah be pleased with him) as a governor, … then the rest of the hadith is mentioned … , Sayyiduna Nu’man (may Allah be pleased with him) said: But I was present with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), if he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not fight at the beginning of the day, then he would delay the battle until the sun had declined, the winds had started to blow, and the descent of support and help had begun.

Benefits: … This is a time of great alertness; only a warrior (mujahid) can describe this state.
