Hadith 4923

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَسْتَضِيئُوا بِنَارِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَا تَنْقُشُوا خَوَاتِيمَكُمْ عَرَبِيًّا
Narrated by Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not seek light from the fire of the polytheists, and do not have Arabic inscriptions engraved on your rings.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … One should not seek light from the fire of the polytheists so that they may not have any favor over the Muslims, while the Muslims are people of honor and dignity.
