Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) under that tree, when a man came to him from that valley, greeted him, and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have intended to strive (jihad) with you; through this action, I seek the pleasure of Allah Almighty and the home of the Hereafter. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Are any of your parents alive? He said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah! Both are alive. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then return and do good to them. In another narration: Strive in serving them. So he returned in the direction from which he had come.
