وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا يَجِدُ الشَّهِيدُ مِنْ مَسِّ الْقَتْلِ إِلَّا كَمَا يَجِدُ أَحَدُكُمْ مَسَّ الْقَرْصَةِ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The martyr does not feel any pain from being killed, except like the pain one of you feels from a pinch or a sting.

Benefits: … The joy of martyrdom and the intensity of the passion of faith eliminate the sensation of the pain of being killed.
