Hadith 479

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي طَعَامِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَامْقُلُوهُ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a fly falls into anyone's food, he should immerse it in it."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Imam Shawkani said: From these ahadith, it has been deduced that a small quantity of water does not become impure by the death of such a thing whose blood does not flow, because in these ahadith no distinction regarding life and death has been mentioned.
