It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Qurt (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The greatest day of sacrifice in the sight of Allah Almighty is the Day of Sacrifice, and after that is the Day of Departure. Five or six camels were brought near to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and the camels themselves began to come closer to him, as to which one he would begin with. When their sides had fallen, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said something softly, which I could not understand. So I asked a man near me, "What did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say?" He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever wishes, may take a piece of meat.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … By this permission of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, what is meant is not to snatch or seize abruptly. Doing so leads to wastage of the item, the weak are deprived, and at times some individuals may even get injured, whereas this is not in accordance with Islamic etiquette either.
