بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي التَّضْحِيَةِ عَنِ الْمَيِّتِ بِوَصِيَّةٍ مِنْهُ وَمَنْ أَذِنَ فِي انْتِهَابِ أُضْحِيَةٍ -Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding Sacrifice on Behalf of the Deceased by His Bequest and Who Permitted Taking the Udhiyah of the Deceased
Hadith 4715

عَنْ حَنَشٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُضَحِّي بِكَبْشَيْنِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ مَا هَذَا فَقَالَ أَوْصَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أُضَحِّيَ عَنْهُ
It is narrated from Hanish, he says: I saw Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) sacrificing two rams. I asked him: What is this? He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) advised me to offer a sacrifice on his behalf.
