Yazid bin Abi Yazid Ansari narrates from his wife that she asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the meat of sacrificial animals. She said: Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) returned to us from a journey, and we presented him with the meat of sacrifice. He said: I will not eat it until I ask the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then when he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: You may eat this meat from one Dhul-Hijjah to the next Dhul-Hijjah.
