Abdullah bin Ata narrates from his mother and grandmother Umm Ata, she says: It is as if even now we are seeing Sayyiduna Zubair bin Al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him), when he came to us on a white mule and said: O Umm Ata! Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the Muslims from eating the meat of their sacrifices after three days. She said: May my father be sacrificed for you, what is the ruling about the meat that is given to us as a gift? He said: Whatever is given to you as a gift, you may use it as you wish.
