It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) would sacrifice two fat, horned, spotted, castrated rams. One ram was on behalf of his Ummah, for those among them who affirmed the Oneness (Tawheed) of Allah and bore witness to the Messenger’s (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) message, and the other was on behalf of himself and his family.
