It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali bin Abu Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade sacrificing an animal whose ear is cut or whose horn is broken. The narrator Qatadah says: I asked Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (about the extent of 'adba), he said: Half or more than that is broken.
