بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي أَضَاحِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَفْسِهِ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِChapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding the Sacrifices of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) for Himself and His Family
Hadith 4656

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِيدَ الْأَضْحَى فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ أُتِيَ بِكَبْشٍ فَذَبَحَهُ فَقَالَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ هَذَا عَنِّي وَعَمَّنْ لَمْ يُضَحِّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I performed Eid al-Adha with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When he (peace and blessings be upon him) finished, a ram was brought to him. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) was about to slaughter it, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. O Allah! Indeed, this is on my behalf and on behalf of those from my ummah who have not offered sacrifice."
