Hadith 4648

عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ أَوْ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا هَذِهِ الْأَضَاحِيُّ قَالَ سُنَّةُ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالُوا مَا لَنَا مِنْهَا قَالَ بِكُلِّ شَعْرَةٍ حَسَنَةٌ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَالصُّوفُ قَالَ بِكُلِّ شَعْرَةٍ مِنَ الصُّوفِ حَسَنَةٌ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the people said: O Messenger of Allah! What is the reality of these sacrifices? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is the tradition of your father Ibrahim (peace be upon him). They said: What will we get from them? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For every hair, a good deed. They said: O Messenger of Allah! What about wool? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For every hair of it as well, a good deed will be given.
