It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she became menstruating at the place of Sarif before reaching Makkah Mukarramah for Hajj. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "You should perform the rites of Hajj like the other pilgrims, except that you should not perform the Tawaf of the House (Ka'bah)." She says: "When I was in Mina, beef was brought to me. I asked: 'What is this?' People informed me that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had sacrificed a cow on behalf of his wives."
