Narrated from Sayyiduna Najiyah Khuzai (may Allah be pleased with him), who was in charge of the sacrificial camels of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): He said, "O Messenger of Allah! What should I do with a camel that becomes unable to walk?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Slaughter it, dye its shoe in its blood, and place it on its side. Then move away from it and the people, so that they may eat from it."
