It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) sent a Khurasani camel as a sacrificial offering, but when he was offered a price of three hundred dinars for it, he came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have sent a Khurasani camel as a sacrificial offering, and now I am being given three hundred dinars for its price. Now the question is, should I slaughter this same camel or buy another camel with its price? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, slaughter this same one.
