Masruq says: I asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the person who sends a sacrificial animal (hadi), does he also have to abstain from the things from which a person in ihram abstains? In response, I heard the sound of her hands clapping from behind the curtain, then she said: I myself used to tie the garlands on the sacrificial animals of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), then he (peace and blessings be upon him) would send them, and nothing became forbidden for him (peace and blessings be upon him). In another narration it is stated: Nothing became forbidden for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that is forbidden for a person in ihram regarding his wife, until the people returned.
