عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ أَهْدَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّةً غَنَمًا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ فَقَلَّدَهَا
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) once sent goats as Hadi towards the House of Allah, and he had also put collars on them.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam used to send sacrificial animals (hady) even before the Farewell Pilgrimage (Hajjat al-Wada‘), while he himself remained in Madinah Munawwarah. On one occasion, he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam sent goats.
