عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَهْدَى فِي بُدْنِهِ جَمَلًا كَانَ لِأَبِي جَهْلٍ بُرَتُهُ فِضَّةٌ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that among the sacrificial camels of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was also the camel of Abu Jahl, and its halter ring was made of silver.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This is the incident of the ‘Umrah of Hudaybiyyah. This camel was from the spoils of war (mal-e-ghanīmah) obtained in the Battle of Badr.
