It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out to perform Umrah. The disbelievers of Quraysh stood between him (peace and blessings be upon him) and the House of Allah. So, at the place of Hudaybiyyah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) sacrificed his sacrificial animal and shaved his head, and it was agreed with those disbelievers that he (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform Umrah the following year, would not bring any weapons except swords, and would stay in Makkah for as long as the Quraysh wished. Thus, he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Umrah the following year, entered according to the reconciliation made with the disbelievers, and when he (peace and blessings be upon him) had stayed for three days, they told him (peace and blessings be upon him) to leave, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) left.
