عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي بَكْرٍ قَالَ: خَطَبَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ النَّاسَ بِمِنَى عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَنَحْنُ عِنْدَ يَدَيْهَا قَالَ: إِبْرَاهِيمُ وَلَا أَحْسَبُهُ إِلَّا قَالَ: عِنْدَ الْجَمْرَةِ
A man from Banu Bakr narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed the people at Mina while he (peace be upon him) was on his mount, and we were standing in front of the mount near the Jamrah.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … These addresses have no connection with the rites of Hajj (manasik al-hajj); the purpose of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is to convey (the message). See Hadith number (4551).
