Hadith 4563

(Second chain) The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted permission to the shepherds to assign turns among themselves, to perform the stoning (rami) on the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah, then after leaving a gap of one day and night, to come the next day and perform the stoning.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … If the shepherd can find an alternative, for example, if it is easy for him to return at night, or if it is possible to seek assistance from a non-pilgrim person either for a wage or without a wage, or if fodder for the animals can be purchased from Mina itself, while the owner feels secure regarding such a helper, or if there is the ability to purchase fodder from another place, then the shepherd’s excuse will be nullified and he will spend the night in Mina.
