Hadith 4558

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: رَمَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجِمَارَ عِنْدَ زَوَالِ الشَّمْسِ أَوْ بَعْدَ زَوَالِ الشَّمْسِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) used to perform the stoning of the Jamarat at the time of the sun's decline or after its decline.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is established from other ahadith that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam performed the stoning (rami) on the days following the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr) after the sun had passed its zenith (zawal al-shams).
