Hadith 4514

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, who says: I saw the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, performing the ritual of throwing pebbles on the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah while mounted, and he used to say: Learn your rites (of Hajj), for I do not know, perhaps I may not perform Hajj after this Hajj of mine.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam intended to clarify that the time of his passing was near, therefore people should benefit from his company, pay attention to his teachings, and not let any opportunity in this regard go to waste. And this is exactly what happened: after the remaining days of Dhu al-Hijjah, and after Muharram and Safar, on the twelfth of Rabi‘ al-Awwal, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam departed from this transient world.
