On the Day of Sacrifice, that is, the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to come riding to stone the Jamrah of Aqabah, and on the remaining days he would come and go on foot. He believed that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to come and go on foot.
