Hadith 4511

Sulaiman bin Amr bin Al-Ahwas Azdi narrates: My mother told me that she saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in such a way that he, peace and blessings be upon him, was stoning the Jamrah Aqabah from the middle of the valley. There was a man behind him, who was protecting him, peace and blessings be upon him, from the people's pebbles, and he, peace and blessings be upon him, was saying: O people! Let no one kill another, and when you stone, throw a pebble (the size of a chickpea or a bean).

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … That is, it should not happen that, due to the crowd or because of throwing large stones, a Muslim is killed. These ahadith describe the manner of performing the stoning (rami); nowadays, it can be adopted with ease, but no one should be caused any harm. In any case, it is permissible to perform the stoning (rami) from any direction.
