Hadith 4508

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ اسْتَبْطَنَ الْوَادِي فَجَعَلَ الْجَمْرَةَ عَنْ حَاجِبِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْبَيْتَ ثُمَّ رَمَاهَا بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ … فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
(Second chain) Abdur Rahman bin Yazid says: I saw Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) standing in the middle of the valley, and he kept Jamrah 'Aqabah on his right side and faced towards the House of Allah and threw seven pebbles at it, ... . (al-Hadith)

Benefits: … The manner described in the following ahadith is different from the manner mentioned above; it is possible that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam practiced both ways. In any case, the following manner is more well-known and authentic.
