Narrated from Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: On the return from Muzdalifah to Mina, I was riding behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on his mount. During this time, a Bedouin came before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); he had seated his beautiful daughter with him on his mount and was traveling alongside the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I repeatedly began to look at the girl, but when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw me, he turned my face away. I looked at her again, so he again turned my face away. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did this three times, while I was not refraining, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) continued reciting the Talbiyah until he reached the stoning of Jamrah al-Aqabah.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Muzdalifah is also called “Jam‘” and “al-Mash‘ar al-Haram.” The rulings mentioned in the ahadith of these two chapters are completely clear; necessary clarifications have already been provided in the benefits. Their summary is as follows: The honored pilgrims, upon reaching Muzdalifah at the time of ‘Isha, will combine the shortened (qasr) Maghrib and ‘Isha prayers, performing them with one adhan and two iqamahs. Afterwards, they will rest, and after performing the Fajr prayer at its earliest time, they will remain engaged in remembrance (dhikr) until near sunrise. There is no specific dhikr prescribed for the standing (wuquf) at Muzdalifah; nevertheless, one should be diligent in reciting adhkar such as the talbiyah, takbir, and tahlil. The imam should, after performing the Fajr prayer at Muzdalifah, come near the Qazah mountain, and then, before sunrise, depart from Muzdalifah towards Mina. This journey should also be undertaken with calmness and dignity; however, the Valley of Muhassir should be crossed quickly. Further rulings regarding departing from Muzdalifah will be discussed in the following chapters.
