Hadith 4480

عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا عُمَرُ بِجَمْعٍ الصُّبْحَ ثُمَّ وَقَفَ وَقَالَ: إِنَّ الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَانُوا لَا يُفِيضُونَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَالَفَهُمْ ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ
Amr bin Maymoon says: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) led us in the Fajr prayer at Muzdalifah, and after that he stood (in vigil) and said: The polytheists would not depart from here before sunrise, but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) opposed them. Then Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) departed from there before sunrise.
