It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived at Muzdalifah, where he performed the Maghrib and Isha prayers, then spent the night there until morning came. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to Quzah and stood there and said: I have stood here, but all of Muzdalifah is a place for standing (Wuquf). After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to the Valley of Muhassir, stopped there, and then urged his she-camel, which started running and continued running until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) crossed that valley. After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stopped his she-camel and took Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) behind him as a rider, and while walking, reached Jamrah Aqabah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stoned it, and then went to the place of sacrifice and said: This is the place of sacrifice (where I have performed sacrifices), and all of Mina is a place for sacrifice, … .

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Quzah is the name of a mountain, which is also called al-Mash'ar al-Haram. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah radi Allahu anhu, who says: When dawn broke, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam performed the Fajr prayer with one adhan and one iqamah, then mounted the she-camel Qaswa and came to al-Mash'ar al-Haram. There, he faced the qiblah and engaged in supplication, takbir, tahlil, and such remembrances in which the oneness of Allah Almighty is affirmed. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam remained standing there until it became very bright, then he departed from there before sunrise and seated Sayyiduna Fadl behind him.
(Sahih Muslim)
The command of Allah Almighty is: {فَاِذَا اَفَضْتُمْ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ فَاذْکُرُوْا اللّٰہَ عِنْدَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِ وَاذْکُرُوْہُ کَمَا ھَدٰکُمْ} … "When you return from Arafat, remember Allah at al-Mash'ar al-Haram and remember Him as He has guided you." (Surah al-Baqarah: 198) Although in Muzdalifah, al-Mash'ar al-Haram is the name of a mountain, in this verse the entire Muzdalifah is being referred to as al-Mash'ar al-Haram, and it is being commanded that during the stay there, abundant remembrance (dhikr kathir) should be observed. The Valley of Muhassir is the place where the people of the elephant were destroyed; the same army is mentioned in Surah al-Fil. The Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam passed quickly through this valley, and doing so is the Sunnah.
