Hadith 4435

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Zuhr prayer on the eighth of Dhul-Hijjah and the Fajr prayer on the day of Arafah (i.e., the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah) in Mina.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … According to the lengthy hadith of Sayyiduna Jabir radi Allahu anhu, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam performed the prayers of Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr in Mina, then remained there until sunrise, and after the sun had risen, he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam set out for Arafah. (Sahih Muslim)

From these ahadith, it is understood that the honored pilgrims should reach Mina on the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah before the Dhuhr prayer, and after performing the Fajr prayer on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, they should remain there until sunrise, then after the sun has risen, they should set out for Arafah.
