عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: اسْتَلَمَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْحَجَرَ الْأَسْوَدَ، ثُمَّ رَمَلَ ثَلَاثًا وَمَشَى أَرْبَعَةً، حَتَّى إِذَا فَرَغَ عَمَدَ إِلَى مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، فَصَلَّى خَلْفَهُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ: {وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلَّى} فَقَرَأَ فِيهِمَا بِالتَّوْحِيدِ، وَ{قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} ثُمَّ اسْتَلَمَ الْحَجَرَ وَخَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّفَا، … الْحَدِيثَ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Istilam of Hajar Aswad, then in the first three circuits of Tawaf, he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Raml, and in the remaining four circuits, he walked at a normal pace. After completing the Tawaf, he (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Maqam Ibrahim and offered two rak‘ahs of prayer behind it and recited this verse: {وَاتَّخِذُوْا مِنْ مَّقَامِ إِبْرَاھِیْمَ مُصَلًّی} (And take the station of Abraham as a place of prayer) (Surah Al-Baqarah: 125). And in these two rak‘ahs, he (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah Ikhlas and Surah Kafiroon. After the prayer, he (peace and blessings be upon him) again came to Hajar Aswad and performed its Istilam, and then he (peace and blessings be upon him) proceeded towards Safa, … .
