Hadith 4368

Narrated from Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Banu Abd Manaf! If any person wishes to perform Tawaf of the House of Allah at any time of the day or night, or wishes to offer prayer, then you must not prevent anyone in any way.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr radi Allahu anhu that he held the latch of the door of the Ka‘bah and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say: “There is no prayer after ‘Asr until the sun sets, and no prayer after Fajr until the sun rises, except in Makkah, except in Makkah.” (Musnad Ahmad: 5/165, Sunan Bayhaqi: 2/461, this hadith is sahih li-ghayrihi except for his statement ‘except in Makkah’, but the hadith of Jubayr bin Mut‘im supports it.)

This is the honor of the House of Allah (Baytullah) that performing circumambulation (tawaf) and prayer in it has been declared permissible at all times, and no time in this pure land has been declared as disliked, so that people may continue to benefit from its virtue at all times. At this place, there is no time of dislike, while in this concession there is a great benefit for the people, especially in this era when, on one hand, there is a huge crowd of people, and on the other hand, there are issues of Tawaf al-Qudum, Tawaf al-Ifadah, Tawaf al-Wada‘, voluntary tawaf, and the prayer of tawaf. Hundreds of thousands of people are entering Masjid al-Haram and hundreds of thousands are departing; on one side, immediately after the obligatory prayer, people are leaving Masjid al-Haram, while on the other side, dozens of new caravans are arriving. In such circumstances, adhering to the disliked times at this blessed place would have entailed great hardship. May sacrifice be upon the Wise and Knowledgeable Prophet, who arranged for this concession even before these issues arose.
