Under this chapter, the following sub-chapters and hadiths have been mentioned.
Nafi’ narrates that when Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would reach near the Haram, he would stop reciting the Talbiyah, and when he reached Dhi Tuwa, he would spend the night there. When morning came, after the Fajr prayer, he would perform ghusl and narrate that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do the same. After that, he would enter Makkah at the time of Duha, go to the House of Allah, perform Istilam of the Black Stone and say: Bismillah Allahu Akbar. Then, in the first three circuits of Tawaf, he would perform Raml, and between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, he would walk at a normal pace. When he approached the Black Stone, he would perform Istilam and say Allahu Akbar. In the remaining four circuits, he would walk at a normal pace. Afterwards, he would come to the Maqam Ibrahim and perform two rak’ahs, then return to the Black Stone and perform Istilam again. Then, taking the route of the large gate, he would go towards Safa, stand on it and say Takbir seven times, of which three times he would say Allahu Akbar, and recite this supplication: La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu’l-mulku wa lahu’l-hamdu, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … When Sayyiduna Ibn Umar radi Allahu anhu would enter the Sacred Mosque (Haram) in Mecca during Hajj, he would stop reciting the talbiyah from the time of entering until he finished the sa’i, but the opinion of the majority of scholars differs from this, as has been mentioned earlier. It is recommended (mustahabb) to perform ritual bath (ghusl) before entering Mecca. If a person is coming by way of Dhu Tuwa, he should perform the ritual bath at that place, and if he is coming by another route, he should perform the ritual bath at a similar distance before entering.
Dhu Tuwa: The name of a place near Mecca.
Ramal: Walking with small steps and shaking the shoulders in a light jog is called "ramal." Ramal is performed only in the first three circuits of the circumambulation (tawaf) of ‘umrah or the arrival circumambulation (tawaf al-qudum).
"Saying takbir seven times": The meaning of these words can be, firstly, as is clear from the translation, and secondly, that in each of the seven circuits between Safa and Marwah, they would proclaim the greatness of Allah, and then in each circuit, with which words this greatness is proclaimed, its clarification is given. That is, three times "Allahu Akbar" and then the complete words that are mentioned in the hadith. In detailed narrations, this second manner of expressing takbirat and tawhid is mentioned. And Allah knows best what is correct. (Abdullah Rafiq)
