Hadith 4285

(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَالِثٍ) عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَيْضًا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَزَوَّجَ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ وَهُمَا مُحْرِمَانِ
(Third chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, that when the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, married Sayyidah Maymunah bint Harith, may Allah be pleased with her, both of them were in the state of Ihram.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam contracted marriage with Sayyidah Maymunah radi Allahu anha while in the state of ihram; this is a misconception of Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhu. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had contracted the marriage before entering the state of ihram. The details are forthcoming.
