Nabiyah bin Wahb narrates that Umar bin Ubaidullah sent a man to Sayyiduna Aban bin Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked whether he could apply kohl to his eyes while in the state of ihram, or what should he apply to his eyes while in ihram? Aban sent back the reply to apply sabir (aloe), as he had heard Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrate this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
