عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلُهُ
It is narrated from Ikrimah that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a similar hadith from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The words of this hadith are: ((‘An Ibn ‘Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam granted concession regarding dyed cloth, as long as there was neither excessive color in it nor any scent remaining.’)) … It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abbas radi Allahu anhuma that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam granted concession for wearing dyed cloth, provided that there was not so much color in it that it would transfer onto the body, nor did its fragrance remain.
