عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَبَّى يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ حَتَّى رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) continued reciting the Talbiyah until he stoned the Jamrah ‘Aqabah on the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The period for reciting the talbiyah during Hajj extends from the commencement of ihram until the stoning of the Jamrah ‘Aqabah on the 10th of Dhu al-Hijjah, whereas on the occasion of ‘umrah, its period is from the commencement of ihram until the beginning of the tawaf al-qudum.
