It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at Arafah, and at that time Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) was riding behind him on his mount. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have stood here, however, the whole of Arafah is a place of standing. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) moved on a little quickly and the people spread out to his right and left. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned towards the people and said: O people! Calmly, O people! Gently. Until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept walking and reached Muzdalifah, where he combined and performed two prayers (Maghrib and Isha). Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed in Muzdalifah and stood at a high place called Quzah, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have stood here, however, the whole of Muzdalifah is a place of standing. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) moved on from there, walking quickly, and the people were to his right and left. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept turning towards the people and saying: O people! Calmly, gently. Until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the valley of Muhassir, where he struck his mount with a whip and made it run until he crossed the valley of Muhassir. Then he resumed walking at his previous pace until he reached Mina and stoned the Jamrah (Aqabah). After that, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the place of sacrifice and said: This is the place of sacrifice, however, the whole of Mina is a place of sacrifice. A young woman from Banu Khush'am came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked: My father has become very old, while the obligation of Hajj from Allah Almighty has become incumbent upon him, but he does not have the ability to perform it himself, so can I perform Hajj on his behalf? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned the face of Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) away from the woman. Then a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I have removed my Ihram and put on clothes after stoning and performing Tawaf al-Ifadah, but I have not yet shaved my head. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no harm, now shave your head. Another man came and said: I have put on clothes after stoning and performing Tawaf al-Ifadah, but I have not yet offered the sacrifice. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no harm, now offer the sacrifice. After that, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Tawaf al-Ifadah and had a bucket of Zamzam water brought, from which he drank and performed ablution. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Banu Abdul Muttalib! If I did not fear that people would overpower you, I would also draw water from the well. Now you draw water and give it to the pilgrims to drink. Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! I saw that you turned your nephew’s (Fadl’s, may Allah be pleased with him) face away from the woman, what was the reason for that? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I saw a young man and a young woman, and I feared that Satan might attack them.
