عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: اعْتَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَحُجَّ، وَاعْتَمَرَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَحُجَّ، فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: لَقَدْ عَلِمَ أَنَّهُ اعْتَمَرَ أَرْبَعَ عُمَرٍ بِعُمْرَتِهِ الَّتِي حَجَّ فِيهَا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed one ‘Umrah before Hajj and another ‘Umrah before Hajj, but Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: They know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed four ‘Umrahs, and one of those ‘Umrahs was performed along with Hajj.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Sayyiduna Bara’ radi Allahu anhu mentioned only the ‘Umrah of Qada and the ‘Umrah of Ji‘ranah; he did not mention the ‘Umrah of Hudaybiyyah because it was not completed, and he did not mention the last ‘Umrah because it was included among the rites of Hajj.
