Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him): The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty, on the evening of the Day of Arafah, boasts before the angels because of the people of Arafah and says: Look at My servants, they have come to Me disheveled and dusty.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The honored pilgrims spend the day of 9th Dhu al-Hijjah in Arafat, and after sunset, they set out from there towards Muzdalifah and, upon arrival, perform the Maghrib and Isha prayers combined. The basis for their pride is that the pilgrims, having suppressed their desires, have reached this plain—not for ostentation or show, but to please Allah Ta’ala. This is in contrast to the angels, in whose nature there is no element of desire at all. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir radi Allahu anhu that he said: The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: ((Al-hujjaj wa al-‘ummar wafdu Allah, da’ahum fa-ajabuhu, sa’aluhu fa-a’atahum)) “Those who perform Hajj and ‘Umrah are the delegation of Allah; He called them, so they responded to Him, and they asked of Him, so He granted them.” (al-Bazzar: no. 1153, al-Sahihah: 1820)
Just as those who perform Hajj and ‘Umrah travel from distant places to visit the House of Allah Ta’ala, so too does Allah Ta’ala, in appreciation of them, fulfill their requests.
