It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said regarding the Night of Qadr: It occurs on the twenty-seventh or twenty-ninth night; on this night, more angels descend to the earth than the number of pebbles.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … For the past six or seven chapters, the series of blessed hadith regarding the determination of Laylat al-Qadr has been ongoing. The summary of all these hadith is as follows: In order to seek Laylat al-Qadr, one should stand (in prayer) during the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan. None of these nights is exclusively specified for Laylat al-Qadr; rather, this night continues to shift, as is established from hadith number (4033, 4035) that in the blessed era of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Laylat al-Qadr occurred on the 21st and 23rd nights of Ramadan, and from the hadith of the last chapter, there are strong evidences for the 27th night. There is a greater likelihood of Laylat al-Qadr being on the 27th night, but this does not mean that special attention should be given only to this night and the other odd nights should be neglected. The signs of Laylat al-Qadr have already been mentioned in hadith number (4022).
