It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: During the days of Mina, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) ordered me to make this announcement, or he (peace be upon him) said: Sa’d! Stand up and announce in Mina that these are days of eating and drinking, so there is no fasting in these days. By this, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) meant the days of Tashreeq.
