Umm Amr says: We were in Mina when suddenly Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) began to say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These are days of eating and drinking, so no person should fast on these days." He was riding a camel, had gathered the people behind him, and was making this announcement in a loud voice.
